Nominations now open for Farming For Nature Award 2019

The Farming For Nature Award 2019 is now open for nominations until 12th of May 2019. This award aims to source and share stories of farmers across Ireland who are judged to be managing their land and livestock in a way that benefits nature.  Do you know someone that would fit this?

This invitation to nominate is an opportunity for you to acknowledge a farmer/farm family whose commitment and contribution to Irish nature is, in your opinion, worth celebrating and sharing. It’s a chance to show this farmer/farm family that you appreciate their work.  It is a very simple and free online nomination form. Find out how to nominate here.

Nominees for the Farming for Nature Awards 2018 were some of the most outstanding role models for sustainable farming across Ireland (see here).

The Farming For Nature Award is a Burrenbeo Trust initiative supported by Bord Bia. The deadline for nominations is the 12th of May, 2019. The awards event will take place during the Burren Winterage Weekend from the 24th to the 27th of October 2019. For further information regarding the Farming for Nature initiative visit www.farmingfornature.ie
