Creativity in Stone and Stone Heritage
a talk with Frank McCormack and Jamie Forde of Irish Natural Stone
This presentation by stonemasons and founders of Burren based ‘Irish Natural Stone’ (INStone) will speak about their mission to preserve our world for future generations through cultural, architectural, and archaeological heritage. INStone’s vision to become the centre of excellence in the conservation of the material use of stone; from the preservation of our stone-built heritage through best conservation practice, to the fine art of sculpture through stone carving. The beauty and organic nature of the Burren, offers inspiration and appreciation of stone as a medium, whilst the importance of ecological preservation within the Burren aligns directly with the basic conservation principles which we set on our built heritage.
The talk is free and open to all with suggested donation of 5 euro to support the local Playground fund.
Hosted by Kilkeedy Community Group and the Burrenbeo Trust.
