Dr Dilis Clare is a leading authority on Herbal Medicine. She is a qualified GP and medical herbalist and is the clinical director at her integrated health clinic, Health and Herbs. Dilis’s walk will look at some of the medicinal properties of the Burren’s wild flowers.
Meet at Slieve Carron Nature reserve at 2pm. Location marked here. Please bring good walking shoes and waterproofs if needed. The walk is open to everyone, although a reasonable level of fitness is required. It is free for Burrenbeo Trust Members and a donation of €10 is suggested from non-members. Directions
From the North (Kinvara)
Take the N67 towards Ballyvaughan, just outside the village (c.500m) turn left onto the L8587, continue for c. 5km until you reach a crossroads – continue straight across, keeping right at the y in the road after 2.5km. After 2km you will arrive at the parking area on your right.
From the South (Corofin)
From Corofin village, take the R460 Gort road past Lough Bunny. Turn left at Boston/Tubber crossroads. Travel along this road for c.9km and then take the 4th left, keeping right at the y in the road after 2.5km. After 2km you will arrive at the parking area on your right.
