We are delighted to announce that our December Tea Talk will be a launch of the Burren Book by David Cabot and Roger Goodwillie starting at the slightly earlier time of 8pm.
‘ In this timely addition to the New Naturalist Library, the authors examine the ecology of the Burren, delving into the history of its exploration. One of the overriding concerns is the impact of tourism, which has been accelerated and stimulated by the promotion of the Wild Atlantic Way in recent years. Its impact is currently being addressed by the Geopark LIFE project, along with other tourism-related issues.’
Don’t forget the kettle goes on at 7.30pm so you can grab a cuppa and have a chat before the talk begins. Other light refreshments will be provided. Signed copies of the book will be available to purchase on the night.
Talks are open to non-members (free for members but a suggested €5 donation for non-members) so feel free to bring friends and family along with you.
