This event is part of the Heritage week celebrations. Discover Cahercommaun Triple Stone Fort (stone fort of Comin), Ireland’s finest examples of a ringfort, situated on a cliff edge and remarkably similar to the great fort at Dun Aenghus on the Aran islands.
Michael Lynch is the Field Monument Advisor for Co. Clare and has been working in archaeology in the Burren for over 15 years. He has surveyed numerous monuments in the Burren including many previously unrecorded sites.
The walk is open to all and admission is free.
Please do bear in mind that this is a two hour walk over rough uneven surface. Suitable footwear and weather- appropriate clothing is strongly recommended.
You can find the meeting point of Cahercommaun car park on google maps here.
