Please wear appropriate clothing for possible wet, blustery weather, including waterproofs. High-vis vests are recommended.
Patsy Carrucan is deeply passionate about the culture, history, music, songs and stories of where he was born and brought up. His love for every field, every boreen of his place is evident in the song “The village of my childhood” which he co-wrote and which he might give us a chance to listen to during the walk!
Joe Queally is steeped in local history and folklore. Joe has written two books on the Fanore school case scandal and is presently putting together a book on Echoes from the civil war in north/west Clare which is due out at the end of this year.
