Turas – Journeys in Stewardship
From Stone to Sea – a celebration of place
As part of the Turas project Burrenbeo Trust are delighted to partner with the Kinvara Community Orchestra for these concerts on the 2nd and 3rd of June.
Turas – Journeys in Stewardship is a Creative Climate Action project supported by Creative Ireland which will involve the Burren community in a collective endeavor toward enhanced environmental stewardship, in light of the pressing challenges posed by climate change and biodiversity loss. Collaborating with various creative partners and drawing inspiration from the distinctive landscape of the Burren and its transhumance traditions, our goal is to inspire individuals to reassess their connection with the land and nature. Through a series of events spanning a year, we seek to empower participants to embark on their stewardship journey by providing opportunities to implement straightforward yet impactful nature-based solutions to address climate change.
Working with five creative partners we will programme events to showcase the stories of those that have taken action such as the Farming for Nature Ambassadors, the Heritage Keepers participants, the Hare’s Corner participants and the Burrenbeo Conservation Volunteers.
