Come and join the Burrenbeo Conservation Volunteers working to help the Burren bats on Sat 19th August.
We will be meeting at 10am at Ruan National school to car pool up to the site.
This is a very special location for a lesser horseshoe bat maternity roost and many hands are needed to help with site maintenance here. Extreme gardening will be the plan for the day – all for the benefit of the bats that roost here over the summer.
Bat expert Sinead Biggane will be present throughout the event to answer any of your bat related questions and the event will be led by volunteer Ruth Hollingsworth.
You will need to bring with you your lunch, gloves, loppers, hedging shears, secateurs (if you don’t have any of these we will have a small supply to lend on the day), a mug and something to share at coffee time.
