Excavation of a hut site at Lismoher, Co. Clare with Elaine Lynch

Join us for an online talk on a community archaeological excavation that was carried out at a Burren hut site. The talk will give a background to the archaeology of the area, the processes involved in an excavation, along with preliminary findings and artefacts which were uncovered from the excavation. This excavation was funded by the Royal Irish Academy. The Field Monument Advisor Programme is supported by the Heritage Council under the Heritage Sector Support Fund 2022. Open to all, please register at the link above.

This will be a 40-minute talk by the guest speakers followed by a Q&A session. Attendees are able to text in their questions via the Q&A box in their Zoom panel. To view recordings of our previous online talks, please visit Burrenbeo’s YouTube channel.

This talk is organised by Burrenbeo Trust – an independent landscape charity with no core funding. We work hard to sustain out 25 plus programmes throughout the year. Please do consider supporting us through donations or membership at www.burrenbeo.com
