Shedding Light on the Ancient Burren
with
Ros O’ Maoldúin of the Irish Fieldschool of Prehistoric Archaeology
The Burren is justly famous for its wealth of archaeological monuments. A tapestry of structures from the Neolithic to the Medieval times covers the landscape, at times even reaching far underground. In the low light of winter, these structures can be more plainly seen, giving rise to our curiousity.
This month’s Tubber Tea Talk will be held on Wednesday 13th December, and is given by Ros O’ Maoldúin, Director of the Irish Fieldschool of Prehistoric Archaeology. Prior to the talk, we’ll have a short review of Burrenbeo’s activities in 2017.
All are welcome. As it’s also our Christmas gathering, the kettle will be on from the earlier time of 7.30pm if anyone would like to join us for mince pies, mulled wine or simply a cup of tea beforehand.
This event is open to everyone. However, it is free for Burrenbeo Trust Members and a suggested €5 donation from non-members. For more information please email [email protected] or phone 091 638096.
