The Limestone Landscape of Yorkshire with Helen Keep, Stuart Gledhill, and Leigh Weston

Registration link

A short appreciation event celebrating Burrenbeo supporters (7:30pm – 8pm) followed by an online talk on the geology, history, biodiversity and human experience of the Limestone Dales scenery within the Yorkshire Dales National Park (8pm-9pm).
In keeping with our annual tradition of a festive gathering at the December Tea Talk, we will begin this end-of-the-year Tea Talk with a short online celebration and appreciation of Burrenbeo supporters and volunteers (7:30pm – 8pm).  The Burrenbeo Team will share the vital contributions made to the Trust’s work by volunteers, members and other supporters in the community. We will also offer a quick overview of gifts that can be purchased this Christmas to support our business friends in the Burren who are committed to the future sustainability of this wonderful landscape.
This will be followed by a Tea Talk for the evening (8-9pm), the third webinar in the series, ‘Our Limestone Landscapes’.  The guest speakers for the evening will be Helen Keep, Senior Farm Conservation officer at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority, Stuart Gledhill, a local resident and landscape enthusiast and Leigh Weston, local resident and nature-led farm business owner.
The talk is free to attend but registration is essential at the link above. Attending the talk requires you to have a free Zoom app on your device (You can download it at www.zoom.us). Upon registration on the above link, you will be sent an email with a link that you can use to attend the talk.
Burrenbeo’s monthly Online Tea Talks take place every second Wednesday of the month between 8 and 9pm via the online platform of Zoom . There is a 40-minute talk by a guest speaker followed by a Q&A session. Attendees are able to text in their questions via the Q&A box in their Zoom panel.
In the following monthly sessions we will hear from experts on the ground from limestone landscapes of  Slovenia, Kentucky USA and Newfoundland, Canada to get a sense of these places, learn about their natural and cultural heritage and issues, ideas and innovations around their conservation and care. Registration links for all the subsequent talks will be available here on www.burrenbeo.com/latest . To view recordings of our previous online Tea Talks, please visit Burrenbeo’s YouTube channel.

This talk is organised by Burrenbeo Trust – an independent landscape charity with no core funding. We work hard to sustain out 25 plus programmes throughout the year. Please do consider supporting us through donations or membership at www.burrenbeo.com
